Hydrocyclone cartridge filter (FHC) is designed to purify liquids, gas and gas condensate from mechanical impurities and produced water in order to protect the components of the technological system from mechanical wear and pollution.
FHC can be used:
- in the PPD system on the liquid intake line by pumping units;
- at oil metering stations to protect measuring instruments from pollution;
- in the system of technological water supply and heat supply;
- for fine purification of liquids (kerosene, oil, gasoline) from mechanical impurities, in order to improve product quality.
In terms of resistance to the effects of climatic environmental factors, FHC s correspond to the design of U, UHL and CL, manufactured for operating pressure from 1.6 to 21.0 MPa. The filter can be used in rooms of all classes and outdoor installations where explosive mixtures of air with gas or steam can form.
An example of a FHC 150-16-300 filter record when ordering and in other documentation:

Details and nodes FHC:
1 - filter housing;
2 - filter cover;
3 - conical bottom;
4 - tangential pipe inlet of the product
5 - pipe outlet product;
6 - drainage pipe;
7 - a partition;
8 - cartridge cartridges
9 - filter material;
10 - filter heads
Principle of operation.
The product is fed into the tangential pipe 4 of the housing (hydrocyclone), while heavy particles tend to surface of the housing 1 due to centrifugal forces and settle in the conical bottom 3, forming a heavy product removed from the housing through the drain pipe 6. The pre-cleaned product under pressure passes through the filtering material 9 of the cartridge cartridges 8 and through the holes in the head 10, enters the outlet pipe of the product 5.
Advantages of the FGK series filter:
- Regeneration of the filter by backwashing if the cartridges are dirty.
- Cleaning contaminated cartridges occurs without disrupting the process cycle.
- Convenience of installation to pipelines and quick change of cartridges - filter cartridges without disassembly of the housing and connecting pipelines.
- The ability to fully automate the filtration cycle, which allows you to completely eliminate the human factor in the filter.
Additional information on FHC filters:
1. The performance of the FHC filters depends on the cell size of the filter element (fineness filtering). The nominal filtration fineness is indicated when ordering filters, based on the conditions and parameters of the working environment, taking into account the maximum allowable pressure drop across the filter, s the provision of particle size analysis of mechanical impurities in a liquid, gas and gas condensate to FGK filters.
2. For efficient cleaning of FHC filter cartridges by backwashing, drain line the filter must be connected to the drainage tank (internal overpressure of the tank 0 MPa).
3. When cleaning liquids with a filter fineness from 1 μm (0.001 mm) to 100 μm (0.1 mm), oil products must be absent.
FHC is made taking into account parameters of the pumped-over medium, productivity, nominal subtlety of a filtration, operating conditions and individual requirements of the customer.
