The sucker rod pump filter (FSHGN) is designed to clean the produced reservoir fluid from rock and mechanical impurities, to protect against mechanical wear, contamination and premature failure of the SHGN pump valves and components of ground processing equipment.

Description and operation of the filter.

The sucker rod pump filter (FSHGN) assembly is installed on the tubing string under the ShGN pump. FSHGN is a prefabricated structure consisting of a perforated pipe with a slotted wire filter element, a receiving pipe.

To capture mechanical impurities, a settler from tubing pipes is installed below the FSHGN; a plug is installed in the lower part of the settler.

Two filter designs are made:

- execution 1 - slotted holes of the connecting pipe;

- execution 2 - openings of a round section of a connecting pipe.

Execution 1 - for high-yield wells, has a large throughput, greater productivity due to the large area of slot holes.

Version 2 - for small wells, has lower throughput, lower productivity due to the smaller area of the holes in comparison with version 1, higher strength of the filtering part of the connecting pipe body.
