In order to establish contacts with Iranian partners, in the first quarter of 2016, RIC RB is planning a visit of the business circles of the Republic of Bashkortostan to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In the course of preparation to the anticipated business mission, on January 14th, 2016, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Bashkortostan conducted a round-table discussion on the specificity of conducting business in Iran. Over 30 enterprises of the Republic of Bashkortostan took part in the round-table discussion, including Techinvest CC LLC, as well as experts on the Iranian market – Advisers of the Honorable Representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Bashkortostan in the Islamic Republic of Iran, A.M. Martynenko and K.V. Shlyakhtin, and Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Bashkortostan, P.G. Barmin.
The said event will provisionally include a presentation of the opportunities for cooperation between Bashkortostan and Iran businesses, business meetings and negotiations with management of Iranian businesses, negotiations conducted in the В2В format, visits and negotiations in the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation and Iranian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, visits to businesses, signing agreements.
More than 100 mln. residents live in Iran and on adjacent territories (in Kurdistan, Afghanistan). In Iran, numerous factories are built every year in spite of prolonged embargo, there is an obvious steady economic growth. The fast-growing market of Iran is almost free for promotion of Russian goods and services due to absence of competition from American, European, Japanese ones.
Russian products and technologies of many industries arouse special interest on the part of Iran, including oil and gas production equipment, equipment for oil and gas preparation for transportation. Iran, in spite of continuing considerable difficulties in export and import, is still interested in supplies of Russian goods, equipment and raw materials, and in buying and applying Russian middle and high technologies.
For the Russian real economy, export to the growing Iranian market is very very important, more so now, during the period of Western sanctions against Russia.
